LE SACRE DU PRINTEMPS
Vortice Dance Company and Temporada Darcos present “The Rite of Spring” signed by choreographers Cláudia Martins and Rafael Carriço and musical direction by Nuno Côrte-Real. A new approach to Stravinsky's work, made in the light
of a technological age, in which the languages of dance, videography, videomapping and music are mixed in an overwhelming sensory experience. It is a work where fears, wills, desires and bodies are ritualised, in an intense play of light, dance, music and image. The action unfolds in a direct analogy with the speed of springs today, where the final Dance of Sacrifice multiplies in time and space.
The musical work will be performed live with an orchestra.
