FÁTIMA, THE DAY THE SUN DANCED

Order of the Shrine of Fatima from the internationally recognized Vortice Dance Company, FATIMA - THE DAY THE SUN BAILOU is the multi-disciplinary show that marked the beginning of the Centennial of Apparitions celebrations. From the events of 1917, and by the combination of different arts, was made a portrait of this event that Cova da Iria marked the twentieth century and all contemporary world history.

Signed by Claudia Martins and Rafael Carriço, the show evoked the presence of Our Lady “dressed all in white, brighter than the sun” before the three children, Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco. The parallelism between the moment of apparition and the present time is established by the fusion of artistic disciplines such as dance, video, video mapping and 3D scenography.

The universality of the message of Fatima was marked by the participation of artists of different nationalities, emphasizing its relevance and need for transmission from generation to generation, uniting all in Faith, Hope and Charity.
